Faith and Order movement
   This term refers to an international ecumenical movement that was founded at Lausanne (Switzerland) in 1927 for the purpose of achieving Christian unity through the discussion and resolution of Church-dividing issues of doctrine ("faith") and Church structure ("order"). In 1948, Faith and Order joined the Life and Work movement to form the World Council of Churches. Both the World Council and the National Council of Churches have commissions on Faith and Order.
